Stage Manager, a feature that makes multitasking a snap, is included in Apple’s next macOS Ventura. Apple has added Camera Continuity, which converts your iPhone into a webcam for Mac devices, for individuals who still make a lot of video calls in the new normal.
It’s likely that if you already own an Apple ecosystem, your iPhone has the greatest camera of the bunch. As long as your iPhone is near your MacBook or Mac, Continuity Camera will use your iPhone as the primary camera input. If you have an iPhone XR or higher, you can use this feature. The devices are linked wirelessly, as with other Apple continuity features, and all you’ll need to attach your iPhone to the top of your Mac is an adapter.
A new feature called Centre Stage is available to iPhone users who have ultra-wide-angle cameras, such as those in the iPhone 11 and later models. Desk View, which acts as an above camera without requiring the iPhone to be tilted, is probably the most mind-blowing feature.
Desk View can be used at the same time as an on-camera view. When you demonstrate anything on the table, other video conference participants can see your face. Intelligence-based image processing is used to make this happen, and the sample video appears to have been shot from a ceiling-mounted camcorder.
To keep your phone at the optimum position, Apple and Belkin are collaborating on a line of stand accessories. There is no word yet on price for these items, which are slated to be launched later this year.
